The announcement ceremony of the Cambridge International School certification, with the code VN628, and the signing of a Memorandum of Understanding (MOU) between the KGS school system and the British Council took place on September 15th.
The event coincided with the celebration of the 50th anniversary of the establishment of diplomatic relations between Vietnam and the United Kingdom (11/9/1973 – 11/9/2023) and marked the 30th anniversary of the British Council’s activities in Vietnam.
Speaking at the ceremony, Prof. Ahn Kyoung-hwan – the President of Korea Global School, stated that KGS is a comprehensive school (encompassing levels from elementary to high school) licensed by the Ministry of Education and Training since December 2020 as an international school in Vietnam. Currently, KGS operates simultaneously in two locations in Hanoi and Ho Chi Minh City.
“We are honored to be recognized as a Cambridge International School with the code VN628. This achievement is a testament to our dedication and commitment to providing an internationally recognized standard of education.
It reflects the tireless efforts of our teachers and students who have enthusiastically and wholeheartedly pursued the Cambridge teaching program,” shared Prof. Ahn Kyoung-hwan.
The ceremony was detailed in the Capital Education Newspaper.
